In Sanskrit, the word “Kantha” means “rags.”But these blankets are anything but. Each Kantha is handcrafted from layers of vintage saris and reclaimed fabric — given new life through love, purpose, and thousands of tiny hand stitches.

Originally, these quilts were never meant to be decorative. They were stitched to keep families warm, to repurpose what was once worn and loved. The simple running stitch you see — the signature kantha — is a symbol of care, patience, and resourcefulness passed down through generations.

They feel like a baby blanket — soft, cozy, and full of soul.
